A few simple rustic structures can now be built discretely in our woodland areas enabling the castle to be used more flexibly. Great news for us and our charity partners.
At the heart of our Heritage Lottery-funded Fortifying the Future project is our partnership with The Cart Shed and the Family Place Foundation, local charities supporting mental health through woodland well-being projects and therapy. The structures will be made of renewable materials and leave a lightweight footprint, and we’re delighted they’ve been greenlit (pun intended) by Herefordshire planners.
