The castle celebrated the summer solstice (and the 146th anniversary of Francis Kilvert’s celebrated picnic) a day early this year, with the Peterchurch Community Choir singing from the English folkbook and giving the world premiere of the Snodhill Anthem – a new AI-composed piece based on prompts by Sally Macintyre. The traditional Kilvert reading followed, in what is becoming a regular and much-loved date in the castle Chapel diary.
